Where do you live? I used to surf quite a bit but haven't really been doing it much the last 4-5 years. I got out a couple times last summer but the only thing it did was make me realize how out of shape I am (for surfing).

Go to Hawaii and go to a beach. There are plenty of places that'll charge you a pretty penny and you'll learn how to surf.

Does australia have good waves for learning that time of year?

I would go to Hawaii but been there done that - just never took surf lessons before.
