I want to know if it's a Hard Drive Error?

I formatted my computer and I don't know if this is hard drive error. For example when I type 'dir' on the C:\ I get a message saying "Files cannot be loaded". I tried using fdisk and formatting it again and ended up with the same error. Is the hard drive the source of the problem, or could it be something else as well? If it is the hard drive I'll call up WD and get them to replace it. Thanks for anyone who helps.

Do you have the disk for western digital's diagnostic tests...

if not you can go to their website and download them... Run the extended test, and it will be able to tell if it's the hard drive or not... if it's bad it will give you an RMA code... if it isn't the code will be 0000...

If there is a problem, then you can RMA the drive online at westerndigital.com
