Yes. But I want to create another bootable partition since I want it to coexist with my win2k installation (create that boot menu etc). I need pure DOS so I can run a few of my old games. How can I safely do it? I have Partition Magic 7.0, but I'm afraid creating a new partition will mess up my MBR.

So, what is the best way?

Thanks in advance.

Beware that MSDOS 6.22 only talks to FAT16 and not FAT32, so your maximum partition size will be 2GB.

If I were you, I would sys c: with a Win98 boot disk, and then simply copy the required files to the MSDOS 7 partition, such as HIMEM.SYS, EMM386.EXE, SMARTDRV.EXE and whatever else you need.

Another option would be to create a bootable floppy of MS-DOS 6.22 with CD-ROM support and you can also make a very large ramdisk. This way you have a near zero chance of messing up your existing Win-2k installation. All this assumes you have a hard disk formatted in a way DOS can read it, as was pointed out above.
