I want to go fishing...any recommendations in Orange County

I want to go lake fishing near Irvine. Any recommendations. Also does any body know any good news boards about lake fishing. Thankx

Not much that I know about in OC, but Santa Monica pier is always good.

If no luck there, try your local stater bros or Ralphs.

Salton Sea. I love that place (though not quite OC) I live in Fullerton and the drive is always worth it for me.

Mammoth has some good fishing, or Big Bear if you want something closer.

Irvine Lake blows!!!! There's a lake in Mission Viejo and I think Aliso Viejo. There are some private lakes that are catch and release only. I live in Lake Forest. I actually have been to redondo pier for pier fishing. Not bad there if you stay late or really early.

What do you want to catch? You might try here first and just check out different sites like this. You might be able to find some info from OC Now but I haven't checked yet.

I plan on going shore fishing. Bigger game and better fights. CYou can catch some sea bass, halibut, barracuda. 😀
