I want to get into a fight

500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

Silly?

If you were fighting for real you'd be breaking bones, crushing windpipes, smashing kneecaps, killing them. Not joining a "fight club" where you trade safe shots until one person gets tired.

This. You don't want to get into a "real" fight. Shit happens to the best.

Steps for getting into a fight:
1. Go to the largest Gran Turismo forum you can find.
2. Post a new thread, asking if Gran Turismo 6 will finally have realistic handling like Forza 4 does.
3. Post your address and invite posters to discuss this with you in person.

I've had the fighting bug for a couple months now. I know its because I haven't made it to a meeting in a long time and I have too much stuff going on. Fighting sounds like a damn good way to relieve some stress.

But...I've come too far for that. Instead I took Alky off ignore. He gives me plenty of chances to blow off steam.

I can't say I'd ever street fight. If I was in a fight outside of the ring/cage I'd be fighting to kill not to "beat someone's ass". This means my gun, my knife, a large rock, whatever. It's not fighting, it's self defense.

If you want to fight, go join a MMA gym and fight in a environment designed to keep you from getting shot. I can tell you that there is very little difference between bare knuckle boxing and MMA gloves. The only reason I can think you might be anti-mma is because you think grappling is for pussies and can't handle the fact you get choked out and laughed at.

OP lives in Brooklyn, so here's what you do. Take the Subway to a predominantly black neighborhood. Harlem, around Conney Island, whatever. Stand on a street corner, then start yelling out the n-word at every black guy that walks by. Guaranteed you'll be in your very own fight in under 5min. Of course firearms may become involved, so come prepared.

Meh, I think fighting is for losers. Normal people generally don't resort to excess violence.

That said, boxing has lost it's glamour IMO. When I was younger, it had a lot more personalities, like Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis, even at the lower weights Eubank, Benn, Hamid, etc. Since the Ukrainians now rule the heavyweight class, boxing has lost its shine IMO, since none of them bring any life to the sport. Ali was big not because he had talent, but because he was a character.

Our best athletes today don't go into boxing. That's probably why the above is so true. It's just a poor choice $ for $ considering everything involved.

Join your local MMA club and train in the ring. You'll find a lot higher quality of opponents there than you would with a random fight on the street.

If you have never fought before, you will get your ass handed to you by anyone with even a little experience. MMA has become very mainstream and a lot of people train. Get the first punches to the face, kicks to the ribs, armbar, chokes and all that stuff out of the way is important because it is painful and shocking the first time it happens. Most street fights last less than a minute because of this.

If you want to fight, go train and step inside a cage. Yes, there are rules... find PRIDE rules. They allow you to soccer kick the head of a downed opponent. This tends to end fights.

Either way, just walking around looking for a fight will definitely not end well for you. Trust me.

LOL It has certainly rebounded from almost becoming mainstream to new levels of stupid.....
But I have made a pact with myself that I hope I can keep.....
Not to let the mentally and emotionally challeged get to me.
They (he) just cant help themselves...

Now, I just smile and chuckle a little...

Apple speaks words of wisdom here. There are 2 people here, that if something happened and stuff had to get ugly, I wouldnt HESITATE a second.... Skinny, short etc.... All old school signs of "OK, I got this..."

Yet I have seen them fight, both beginner MMA.
They would OWN me in 3.4 secs...

Talented people usually spend their time in the gym and going to matches. What if they beat you and simply decide to not stop? You are looking for a gentleman on the street?
