1440x900 is the native resolution.

I have biostart motherboard using nvidia geforce 6100 onboard graphics. This card alllows for resolutions well up to 2000 somthing x 1000 something. For instance 1600x900 is native.

Now I can open the geforce utility and add a custom resolution to the card.

Obviously, I can't test this on my 17inch crt.

Will this work?

Meaning when I buy the monitor and hook it to the dvi out, can I input 1440 x 900 into the geforce nview utility, and will it probably work? I'm more than happy with the output the onboard provides, and don't really want to have to buy a card for this. If that is the case, I'll just get a normal ratio monitor.

Edit: Found a link: Does this work well?

It should work... I wouldn't worry about it. The IGP in my Dell 5150 powered up the Dell 2007FP @ 1600x1200 wonderfully.
