I want to build a lightbox for taking studio-esque pictures....

I had two ideas...

#1. Posterboard glued and/or nailed togeather to create 3-4 sides of a box.
#2. Wood, painted white, same concept.

Any reccomendations?

You mean a diffuser for a strobe, like a sun-light, or like a box to place something in and photograph it against all white like for product photography?

Okay I can't read all that because I'm .. incapable atm, but that looks like a sweet link anubis, but .. how do they do color photography with tungsten floods?

The commercial products that I have seen use a curved piece, reather than right angles. I will try to search for pic

well you said you want to build your own so I didn ';t look for $$ but for something looked like what i was thinking of

square box like you described would work for that, particularly with PS done afterwards - If you notice the top left corner of PSP, has no detail because highlights are blown.
