How would I go about doing this?

Things I don't have going for me:
  • I'm not talented
  • I don't consider myself handsome (I'd say I'm mostly average)
  • I'm not an athlete
  • I'm not a celebrity in real life
  • I post here on ATOT

Things I DO have going for me:
  • Um... I got nothing.

You need to make some clever youtube videos. Funny and/or interesting. Quirky maybe. Or extremely stupid

Are you good at any kind of commentary? Social, political, sports? If so you might be able to start a blog, and slowly let people into your life, and work into an internet reality show type superstar.

I've had some great ideas for informational-type youtube videos/channels.
But I'm not an exceptionally social person and dislike the camera.

What to do?

Politician it is.

How does one go from nearly dirt poor to controlling people through legislation?

I wouldn't mind trying that route, but I have no political networking.

Actually I'd rather work for a think-tank (up my alley, based on education/interests), but thinking about that makes me feel confused and lost as I have no idea how to do such.

Sometimes, trying to be a jack of all trades, and excelling at little, makes it difficult to find a good career path. I'm tired of the dead end job world. :(

Well... you can always kill someone important to be on the news. It worked for Lee Harvey Oswald... kinda.

To be fair, I have become rather disillusioned with government lately. And I came to the conclusion about a year or two ago that the only way I could TRULY effect meaningful change in this country is to become a politician.

Unfortunately, I'm broke, so I can't buy myself a seat in office. :(

Start a facebook page or blog or something where you post about your disillusionment with government. If its good gain you'll gain popularity. Then slowly let people into the person behind the words, eventually you'll be like Perez Hilton but for political/government stuff.
