Pimp ride...the WRX is one helluva car. A tad overpriced, but in the next couple years when the popularity has died down it will be much cheaper :)

I prefer the non wagon WRX's but if I needed the extra space I'd definately get one of those. I test drove the regular WRX w/ all the options and was floored by the performance and the smooth ride. I love the racing seats :)

It had hail damage and was used with like 15k miles so the price was like 18K, which was frickin' ridiculous. Considering I could get a new one for like 23k with no hail damage and 0 miles. 15k miles in less than a year, bleh.

I ended up buying my grandmother's '88 Honda Accord LX for $1000. It has 39K miles on it :) It was kind of a college present that I had to pay for. :D

And I love the WRX wagon.
But I don't see how this particular one is so much more impressive than any other....
Explanations?

I just think the rims, exhaust and the little lip on the back do a lot for the car.

It's pretty much exactly how I would do it up. :)

18K is how much that car should be worth for the year (20%) and the over mileage ($0.15/mile), so the hail damage should deduct from that depending on how noticeable it was.

I like the WRX, but I wouldn't buy one in black. No way I'd buy a black car, to hard to maintain. I like the blue that they come in, with the tint and everything it would look nice.

to hard to maintain-- as in too hard to keep clean?

He's right....by the time you get home from the car wash, you have dust all over it again. Dust is way too noticable on black. The special edition WRX Blue is very sharp :)

Sucks.

I could afford it, but it wouldn't be very financially responsible with the mileage I put on my car. :(

stock or not--- thats sweet ride. i love the rims

They look like Advan Model5s(?)... just buy the knockoff Rota Battle wheel like most Scoob owners... looks the same is only slightly heavier but still strong and good looking not to mention tons cheaper. Rotas are just painted instead of powdercoated/plated. Heck, I own a set on my Eclipse. And why settle for something that looks good but is slow? I didn't... :D

I liked the old GCB(?) body style better anyways... looked way more aggressive/cool. Example

It appears as if no one knows about the WRX tranny problems. I thought there were a couple of WRX owners on this forum....apparantly the 5 spd trans on this car is a POS. All kinds of premature, non warranty covered failures are being reported. Decreases that desire quite a bit doesn't it?

And not too many people want to get the auto 4spd which also includes a more advanced awd system not to mention far greater durability.

There is no problem with either tranny if you don't do 7k clutch drops and whatnot. But Subaru has been known to initially deny warranty coverage if they determine you have "abused" your car. With enough harping everyone I know has been able to get theirs fixed under warranty, it's just kind of a hassle.

yep, the car and driver (?) that i got the other day said that their tranny started slipping after 30,000 miles. sure they abuse it but the car was built to be abused, trannies shouldnt go out at 30K.
