What pertains to the Camaro also applys to the Firebird, seeing as it is a 60% copy (different body, wheels, interior). The Firebird interior is just as plasticy and cheap as any other GM car and as an owner of a Pontiac for 5 years, the red dash lighing/instrumentation and cheap grey plastic switchgear is horrid. Front and rear overhangs on both are way too much. And both are longer than the 4-door BMW 5-Series or Lincoln LS sedan.
