Specifically, I want your best sandwich recipes. There is a whole world of deliciousness out there, and I want to know how to maneuver through it.

There are no limits on the sandwiches to recommend: I'm willing to try everything and I'm not allergic to anything.

Give me your hungry, your really hungry, and your kickass sandwich recipes!

Rare roast beef, sliced paper-thin on a toasted onion roll with Hellmans mayo, fresh iceberg lettuce, sliced home-grown tomatoes, salt & pepper.... yummm!!!

🙂 🙂 🙂

Corned beef (usually leftover from dinner), sour kraut, havarti, & 1000 island on dark rye.

Replace that with some Swiss cheese and deli mustard and get ready for some good eating.

shrimp sauteed in butter, red pepper, scallions, garlic, olive oil, and basil
prosciutto di parma or jamon serrano
baby watercress
homemade chipotle mayo
sliced beefsteak tomato
all on fresh chiabatta bread from central market

i made that because i wanted a 'prawn-cress sandwich' like you can get in grocery stores in england.

i got a little carried away.

Either way it's a good reuben. I like the swiss better too, come to think of it. My 1/32 Jew approves!

some good crusty sourdough bread, buttered and toasted.
salami, grilled until crispy
ham, grilled
provolone cheese
tomato
lettuce
onion
mayo

In my opinion, the pickle MAKES the sandwich. If you use great bread, meat, and cheese, and then throw a soggy ass McDonald's-style pickle on it, you just ruined it. But if you accurately place a crisp, delicious, deli-style pickle on that sandwich....BAM (Oooh smack!), you have yourself a sandwich.

Sandwiches are made by the bread, never buy cheap bread. Buy the best, most natural, whole grain bread you can find.

Make two steaks medium rare. Eat one immediately and refridgerate the other.
The next day take a very good knife and slice the steak very thin.
Lightly toast your good bread and lay the steak out on it. Sprinkle bleu cheese on top and nuke for less than ten secs to take the cold off.
Salt and pepper to taste
Use real mayo, brown mustard and spring mix and the best tomatos you can lay your hands on.

SPRING MIX?

Also called mixed spring greens, mixed greens and mesclun. Red Leaf lettuce is fine Green leaf too, Romaine or Bib in a pinch but never Iceberg.

my current favourite: tomatoes on multigrain toast with salt, pepper and garden vegetable cream cheese
previous favourite: 2 slices of chicken breast, 1 slice roast beef, butter on a whole wheat bun
all time favourite: cheese-wiz and strawberry jam on any kind of bread
