I had to wiki vegemite. Sounds uhh, er, tasty.

I don't think I've ever met an American who liked it 🙂

It's awful. My stupid Aussie 4th grade teacher made us try it. I now hate your region and everyone around it for keeping this awful food around =D

How does it compare with Marmite? I like Marmite, but only occasionally, and in small doses.

It's slightly thicker, saltier and not as sweet. Most Kiwis prefer Marmite but I'm personally a huge Vegemite fan. Both should be consumed in small doses anyway, it's spread quite thin, not like peanut butter.

I've never seen Vegemite here in the USA. Better grocery stores carry Marmite though. I'm mostly familiar with Vegemite from the Men at Work song Down Under, or Land Down Under, something like that where he got a Vegemite sandwich from some dude :^D

I love Guinness. It was the first beer I had that I truly enjoyed, and wasn't drinking just to fit in, or get drunk.

I'm interested in this Guinness you got. What makes it special, and how does it differ from the standard brew?

It tastes quite different from regular or stout. there is no 'thingie' in the bottom, kinda threw me off. I like it. I think the bitter tones are a bit lighter but still strong and full. It kind of has a 'woody' scent a bit on the smooth side from what I am used to from Guinness but not a bad thing. very tasty.

I'm bad at describing beer.

I also couldn't manage to get a good head on it...Probably my shitty pouring skills. I much prefer beer out of its container...

I'm not one for drinking syrup so, no you aren't the only one.

It is certainly not the take all end all of beer. but IMO its probably the best beer you'll find at a gas station 😉.

I'm surprised you found Guinness at a gas station.

+1 for self-awarding grammar-based points.

Not a fan either. I'll just blend a loaf of bread and some vinegar if I want something that bitter and over-filling.

I'm drinking a fairly bitter and filling beer now that I like. http://www.merchantduvin.com/p...es/samsmith_taddy.html

I know nothing about beers, I'm just grabbing random beers I haven't tried yet from the imported section.

lulz, you call that bitter?

Sammy Smith is awesome, though. Their Oatmeal Stout is legendary.
