How long has Moller been working on these now? I thought we were supposed to have them by the year 2000 🙁

Let's face it - traffic sucks and its not going away. Parenting licenses aren't popular with most people so population will keep going up and so will the traffic. Is there any escape other than the sky? I wonder if the goverment will even approve a skycar with all the queer ladens running around. I might have to build a pedal plane, didn't someone cross the channel in one of those? 😀
 
i know some british company is selling a diy personal helicopter for $30000

turning, decent, ascent is controlled by pneumatic devices (jets of helium or air)
 
(if this is directed to him, disregard) uhh i was just explaining to him that affordable, personal air travel isn't that far away
 
Well... Moller Skycar The M400 *can* be purchased for about $1 Million. But it HAS been field-tested and can be bought. Until it's mass-produced it won't be affordable.

Of course, some people shouldn't be driving on the GROUND let alone at 400+MPH above ground! I've seen a LOT of bad, bad drivers....
Maybe it'll be better since it's practically computer controlled. 😉

I'll go you one lower. I don't even need a skycar. Just give me a car with an autopilot function built-in so I can take a nap on my commute every day. I know that sounds like blasphemy in a forum where 90% of the people think driving anything other than a stickshift is heresy. But for your boring everyday commute it would be great. I?fd actually look forward to the end of the day so I could rush out to the car and take a nap or watch TV on the way home.
