Not taken as a Joke I was kinda holding off till HD -TV's came out. Why buy a new CRT when they were coming out with affordabel HD-TV's and at that the Goverment was saying all TV brodcast singals would be HD before now.

Honestly, the lifetime issue is not a problem if the prices on them are low enough. I held off on buying an LCD for so long because I was so paranoid about it developing a dead pixel etc after the warranty expired and I would be stuck with a very expensive flawed display. Once 19-inch panels dropped under $300 then it becomes something I could toss in a few years if neccessary.
