Now stop complaining and buy something! :D

Change is not good when it a change for the worse.

One thing I don't like is when clicking on say "video cards" I longer see a brand selection. I must know the brand and type it in or browse though thousands of cards. Same for every major catagory. It's a time killer.

I did'nt like much the last site over the previous, now it's even worse. Everytime getting more fluffy and harder to navigate. Ease of use was tyhe main reason I shopped new egg. Thier prices sure arnt superior or thier CS. Mwave has them beat on both counts. Monarch had them beat on price most of the time.

Or you could just hit the Power Search button in the upper right cornor and have all selections....;)

As for NewEgg in general, it's all choice.......I'll still search there but if I find it a lot cheaper somewhere else, I go there. In all honesty, I can't stand Monarchs site or ZZF but still like MWave too....

i do miss that brand selection you're talking of. i don't know why they couldn't have incorporated that into the fron page of each section.

monarchs combos can't be beat but their parts pricing doesn't beat neweggs "most of the time."

You on dialup? Everything seems quicker for me. I've been using it for a few weeks now though and I guess I'm weird, but I like the looks.......

Cable here, every other site is lighting fast, the load times are good its just it seems very un-responsive. Like the drop down menus, etc.

No, I'm experiencing the lag too, and it has nothing to do with connection speed. The page itself loads just as fast as before, but the menus sluggishly appear, the links don't react as quickly (highlighting), and the page lags as I scroll up and down.

cobalt, do you have an ATI card? I've noticed that my slower nVidia machines are significantly less laggy on websites than my 9800 Pro is.

That's really odd.....I just went there before posting this and randomly just clicked on menus/links and it is really fast....no scroll lag....figured it was my connection. If it's rendering.....I've got an X800XT so it must not be an ATI issue unless it's an older generation issue.....

Hopefully the newer generation fixes it. I noticed the same thing with a Radeon 7000. It lagged VERY badly when scrolling. I stuck a GF3 Ti 500 in the machine and then it scrolled smoothly. This is in Internet Explorer, btw. Firefox is totally different.

Exactly. Personally I like the redesign.

People buy hardware from newegg. They already had a thread in Off Topic about it, so it was put here.

I like the new look, change is good, it keeps things interesting, having to find the simpliest links again from scratch

Pffft whatever. I couldn't careless personally. I rarely visit them anymore unless its a direct link from somone here wondering if a video card is good.
