All nice watches I have had cost $100+.

I have a Skagen watch now. It was $125 at Dillards. Metal bands are getting ridiculous with their weight but mine is titanium so it is very light weight.
Wow, I am liking Skagen. Titanium bands and a lifetime warranty. Found this one on Amazon for only $73.

That is the exact watch I have. It is a great watch. Just make sure to tighten the links tight because they will fall out. I have had it happen before.

And the pins in the links are a little strange and harder to adjust than other watches. You may have to take it to a jewler and pay a few bucks to get it adjusted.
Glad to hear you like it. I don't have a problem taking it to a jeweler to get it sized.

But tell me if you don't mind, how many of the links are removable? My wrists are not that big and I removed a lot of the links on my current watch, leaving the band with 14 links. And I'd actually like it to be a little tighter. If you could tell me that it would be really helpful!

I am not sure how many links I originally had removed but where I have it set, I can take out another 3. My wrists are not that big either so I think you will be fine.

Oh, and the Skagen website is not very good nor is their technical service if you ever need them. I called tons of times about ordering a single link and NOT a band for $45 but no one ever answers. They get an F in customer support. Their website does not rate much higher on my scale. They make a lot of watches that are not listed on it anywhere. I don't doubt that they make a stainless steal band however that version is not sold at Dillards where I bought mine.

If you want the watch that I have, definitely get the Titanium band. Most watches have stainless steel bands and that is why they weight 2 pounds. This titanium is as light as plastic and won't cause a big crashing sound why you hit your wrists against a desktop.
Hmm, I don't know. I suppose it's possible the one listed on Amazon for $73 really does have a stainless steel band, and that is why it's cheaper, but it just seems doubtful. The watch is in the "Titanium" series and is supposedly all titanium, period. Amazon has another listed for $99, and yet ANOTHER listed for $118, however both of these are shipped from and sold by other companies, so that could explain why they're more. And, for all three, the "list price" is the same of $125. So the price isn't really an indicator of the band material at all.

Either way, I ordered the cheaper one. I wouldn't want to spend $26 more when maybe they all have titanium bands, and even if this one doesn't, I'm not sure if it would be worth that price difference. The case is still titanium and that is the bulk of the weight.

We are comparing this 105LTX to this one and this one. As you can see they all have different specs.

My guess is that it'll be titanium. It would be odd for them to pair a steel watch with a ti bracelet. Frankly I would be ambivalent about the weight savings, since I am very used to wearing heavy steel diver's watches, making ti feel a little insubstantial. I do have one ti watch and it's a nice change of pace from time to time, though.

Please don't buy a Skagen. I had 2 break on me in the course of 8 months. The first time they replaced it after a lot of hassle, the second time it broke they didn't believe me when I said it "just broke", which it did, and I was SOL. Low quality watches.

(The face randomly cracked on BOTH watches. They're water resistant, but I rarely got mine wet.)

I think you have that backwards. We know the case and bezel are titanium, the question is is the band titanium. EVERY website I visit, including Skagen's, either doesn't mention the band material specifically or says it's titanium, except for Amazon who says it's stainless steel. That's why I'm thinking that may just be incorrect (it also has same list price).

And, like you said, I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge difference anyway and the titanium case even with a stainless steel band would probably feel nice and light.

Haha, oh well, I have already made the purchase. I am sorry you did not have a good experience with them. However I have read a lot of great reviews and opinions about this watch, many even commenting on its durability and great functioning 5+ years later. And I really like the look and it's something I can't quite find anywhere else for this price. Hopefully I will have better luck.

D'oh! That was a brain fart. I meant the converse. In any case my guess is that both the watch and bracelet will be ti.

Well I chose a Skagen 105LTX because of its unique styling, titanium casing and band, price, and lifetime warranty. I received the watch on Monday, got it sized and got it back Thursday. I was under some suspicion as to the material of the band since it said titanium on Skagen's website and stainless steel on Amazon, but it turns out the casing and the band are indeed both titanium.

In short, I love the watch! I have to get adjusted to having a tighter band, my old watch was pretty loose and when I first put this one on I thought it was way too tight. But it still has room to slide and I realize this is just how a watch should fit and I need to get used to it. I liked the watch at first, but the more I look at it everyday the MORE I like it. The chrome markers and hands shine under all light settings and make it look very classy. But it is not a showy watch and has a subtle tone to it so it's appropriate to wear everyday with casual clothes. Really happy with it, hope it performs well for the long run.

One thing I am confused by though is how to get the date function working right. I know how to set the date, but the problem is it keeps advancing to the next date at the wrong time, like in the morning, or in the afternoon, depending on when I last set it. I'm not surprised by this, after all, it's not like the watch is aware of what time it is. But how do I align it so it advances to the next date at midnight?
