I've been following the mexican drug war closely for a while now. That's only the latest of several that have been seized. Their main flaw is the tires. Of course, the cartels are using a lot of conventionally armored trucks and SUVs, too. The cartel Sicarios (hitmen/soldiers) with AK47s roll around in big convoys of these armored SUVs and get into big battles with each other.

Oh, and the Mexican police & army vehicles often have no armor...

I think the mexicans are going to need to buy some AH1 Cobras to take out the Narco trucks.

I doubt there are very many vehicles that can withstand a hit from a piece of depleted uranium traveling at seven times the speed of sound.
