I want a hatchback.

screw all that and just get a mazda3...save yourself money on the sticker, better gas and more fun to drive than maybe all but the v70r (i'm not counting the gti cuz vw reliability is crap, so if u buy it, boo on u)🙂

What the hell did VW do to their interior in the GTI. It looks like an electrical disaster waiting to happen.

Same goes for the Touareg apparently.

Get the V70 R ... or if you want to be even more practical get a V70XC. I like the 2001 style of V70XC though.

I've got a Passat wagon and a Highlander in my garage. A Mazda 3 hatch and a GTi have also graced it.

I'm a hatch junkie. Infinitely more useful than a sedan. Not a true replacement for a truck, but certainly a very functional alternative to a pickup.

The new GTI looks good. It's growing on me. Are we going to get the 4 door here in the states?

wagon = hatchback now???

hmmm
What's the difference between a GTI and a V50? The V50 has a larger cargo area; that's pretty much it.

Personally, I use the terms "wagon" and "hatchback" interchangably.

5 door hatch/wagon/extended hatch/whatever. A wagon *typically* has a bit more of a cargo area hanging over the rear wheels. Bottom line is that a wagon still has a "hatch".

I :heart: mine. I can fold the seats down and fit a complete Yamaha Razz moped in mine with the hatch completely shut. 😀 Who needs a truck!

Get a Subaru Forester, it's pretty decent for light off-road and great when the weather gets nasty, all Subaru wagons have my vote for usefulness.

Don't like the styling...I'd rather have an Outback Wagon.
