I want a good AA battery charger.

The title and topic pretty much says it all. I got way too many controllers and other devices that use AA batteries. This x-mas will be adding even more in my house after looking at both my list and my son's list so it is high time I purchase a good charger.

The problems I am finding are these:

1. There are way too many out there to choose from and so many mixed reviews.

2. Too many of them either take forever to charge or they do not charge many batteries at once.

What I am hoping to get from you guys are recommendations based on your personal purchases and links to those items if you kind enough to Google them for me. I'll also take tips on what to avoid if you do not have a specific product to recommend.

Thanks a bunch as always!

 That's my configuration, and it works very well.

Incidentally, OP, with regard to "taking forever to charge", that's generally a good thing. "Rapid" charging, like those chargers that charge your battery in 1/2 hour etc will severely mess up the batteries and shorten their life span. You want to charge it slowly. The BC900 lets you determine the charge rate so you can balance duration vs. battery health.

Energizer Family Charger - the newer version with the LCD display.

Model CHFC

Will do 8AA/AAA or 4C/D at once.
