so I want to buy a digital camera........

Here is what I really want. There is that logitech digital pocket camera. It is as small as a credit card. so cool. But the problem here is that since it is so small, it is a digital camera ONLY. So doens't have a place to put film to develop. :(

so I was wondering, what other cameras are there, that are small, sleek, thin, and can also let you develop your pictures out...........? I really like small stuff.....do't know why.....

You want a 35mm film camera? The smallest of those out is the Canon Elph I believe.

I"m guessing so. How else does a person develop their pictures?? I don't know, I"ve never had a digital camera before, so unless they have some kind of stytem to develop pictures, I'm guessing using a 35mm film is the only way to go...no?(lol, drop my memory card in the development center?? haha).

But seriously, Im not being sarcastic at all. I have no IDEA on how this works.........

You can "develop" pictures taken on a digital camera. All you do is download the pictures from the camera to your PC and then put them on floppy disk or cd and take them to your closest walmart and they'll print them off for $.29 or so a piece.

You *could* make prints of pictures taken with that logitech, but the 1.1 or whatever megapixel it is would produce some very poor image quality.

Look at the Canon S330 or Minolta Dimage X for very compact digital cameras with decent prints.

Isn't it also double the price?

mm, i wasn't aware of any price limitation for semidevil....

all the same, it's lowest price is around 400 (buydig has it for 430 or something last i checked), while s330 has lowest price of 330 bucks and dimage x is at 230 or something.

dimage x has image quality problems, at least according to dpreview and steve's digicams, and i think it's worth the extra 100 over the s330.

tradeoffs:

size
price
image quality
resolution

the better one is, the worse the others are.

vi_edit is talking about resolution i think, which basically means that you would not be able to get large prints to look good... like 5x7 or something. i have no experience in that, but you get the basic point. nother thing to look at is image quality. smaller digital cameras usually have some quality problems due to some weird lens crap stuff.

It never ever fails, everyone always forgets the most important piece of information.

Ladies and gentleman, care to take a guess?

Well I would forget about the nice compact Canon S200 ($300) or S330 (4359) or Minolta Dimage X.

You may want to seriously consider a nice non-digital 35mm camera.

Unfortunately you're about 2 weeks too late from getting the Olympus D-370 digital camera for $74.99 with free shipping.

I'll see what I can find for around $130, up your budget to $250 and I can get you a REALLY NICE DEAL!!! on this.

I really want one of those pocket cameras. I don't know. And that Logitech ones looked really good. Are there any other "pocket/credit" card sized cameras on the market??

plus, I'm not a photographer or anything. Just want a camera to put stuff on webpage, and develop some on print(no 5x sizes. Just the normal size. 3x4 I think???)

Is there a review of what that logitech camera can/cannot do?
