I have a PS3 right now, and I'll be getting Ninja Gaiden Sigma on July 3rd.

BUT...I also want an Xbox 360, mainly for Halo 3....

Anyone know of a really good deal on a new one? (premium). $100 off the MSRP would be nice.

Some online retailer was offering $100 rebate some time ago, but this is most certainly not the case anymore (wouldn't hurt to ask around, though). eBay would probably be your best bet, since you're sure to find NIB systems for less than retail. $100 less isn't likely, though.

You likely won't find any good 360 deals during the summer. Maybe the occasional bundle but nothing on the order of the Microcenter deal.

I'd suggest keeping an eye on Overstock.com and eBay. The big deals probably won't happen until the fall leading up to the holidays.

Post something on the WTB forum? I'm sure someone would be nice enough.

New system? Doubt you'll get any good deals like you want.

The Geeks refurbs were probably done too long ago to have the new heatsink though.

I'm waiting for the 65nm die shrink, but I don't care about Halo.

If I were you, I would wait until 65nm process shows up. Most likely, these would have the new heatsinks as well. Just wait a few more months. Meanwhile, get Ninja Gaiden Sigma in July. In August and September, we can expect Lair, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword. So play those games while you wait.

I got a good deal right here on the forums. Great price and great package. After a few days I got the ROD and transferred the SN and registration to me, and MS shipped me out a brand spanking new one! GOW is fraking awesome in HD!

I have those for the PC but may get RB6:Vegas for the 360 as it chugs on my PC. I wish MS would let you use a mouse and KB for their FPS. Playing those games with a controller is nigh impossible.

I was just debating the K&M in another thread :0
I felt the same way at first, being a long time PC gamer, and having only messed with the SP for Halo a bit on my Xbox before buying a 360. You will adapt though, and it is all gravy after that. I like the controller now, it provides for a more relaxing body positioning, and pulling a trigger to fire....I just enjoy that more than a mouse click I guess.

I dont know where you live, but in the Bay Area (CA) on craigslist you can get new Premiums for $300. I got one new a couple of months ago and there were many to choose from. Heck, PS3s are going for $450 new. No tax as well. I wish I waited to get my PS3 from there, but oh well.
