Anyone play it?

Sequel to I wanna be the guy. I have been stuck at boss #3 for about 3-4 hours now and hear that they only get worse. I keep playing because apparently I hate myself too much to give up.

For the record it is MUCH MUCH harder than I wanna be the guy.
 
Just felt the need to bump this thread. After over 2500 attempts I finally beat Sonic the boss of world #5. Holy crap what a grueling fight. I'm now on the world #8 boss and so far I think I will get it within 500 attempts which isn't too bad.
 
Good god. Just watching the videos of that game make me mad. 500 attempts? You are a glutton for punishment.
 
Holy crap! This game looks like the old Super Mario Bros for the original NES, made into an utterly evil challenge edition!

i took one brief look at i wanna be the guy and realized it's the videogame equivalent of playing "lets break the wrench by hitting it on your balls".
why do you have to hurt yourself.
 
I guess I just like precision platforming. IWBTG is really not that bad when you get used to it. I beat it on easy mode then immediately played again on hard mode without too much trouble.

Now, IWBTB is a different ball game. The platforming sections are not too bad and are quite fun to play through. The bosses are the real challenge and Sonic is an absolute beast, but the satisfaction of beating a boss is better than all over video games I've played.
 
Super meat boy is like a light practice for I wanna be the guy. I wanna be the boshy is very similar in platforming but the bosses are an entirely new level of difficult. I almost have world #8 boss done. In fact I got him to 0 hp but before the final animation could complete one last particle got me and I died =/
 
Bumping this because I finally beat it. Final death tally was 12,522 with over 2600 for the final boss alone. I probably spent at least 60 hours over the last 3 months to complete this.
