So I get to the polling booth shortly after it opens...have been up all night with an illness, and am very very tired. I get my card and go to the booth with the push pins, and punch in my votes. After I put it in the slot I realize I voted for GW, and not for Gore!!!!

WTF???!!!!

This was an honest mistake, so I hope you can help me out. If you could do me a favor and vote for Gore, you would cancel out my mistake, and everything would be even, just as if I did not vote. It is such a simple request, you will do that for me, right?

Right?????

What do you mean, you don't believe me?

:)

He must have subconciously realized who was the right candidate. How does it feel to have seen the light and left the dark side I'm Typing?

Well, I'm Typing, it'll cancel out at least one of those dead people that's voting Democrat this year. ;)

Of course, they are voting FOR a dead person in Missouri. I'll wait for the court challenge in that one when the election is over if they appoint his wife.

Wangel: She give you a good price? Heh. j/k

Don't anyone change their vote for Gore to cover his "mistake". Don't take this personally I'm Typing, but it wouldn't be below most liberal's to attempt to get more votes for Comrade Gore using tricks like this. If this is not a scheme to get many people to switch votes you have my sincerest apologies, but better safe than sorry.

I'm Typing -- Well, I usually only vote twice in my precinct, but I'll make a third trip, just to help you out. Will you cover my gas expense? ;)

I voted for Gore and felt so good about it. I live in Texas and he will probably win the state, but think it will be closer than many repulicans think.

The turnout was the largest i had ever seen i waited about 1 hour 20 min and early voting records were shattered for all metro areas in Texas.

I voted for Gore. Bush is such an incompetant bastard. I heard that because of him, Houston is all polluted now. He doesn't have what it takes to be a president. He'll just screw the coutry up. His mind is and has always been set on partying.

You heard wrong.
From the Cato Institut:
For example, consider the charge that Houston has overtaken Los Angeles as the smoggiest city in America. This, not to put too fine a point on it, is a lie. If we do what the Environmental Protection Agency does to determine whether a metropolitan area is in compliance with federal air quality standards--that is, tally up the number of violations at the designated "worst case" air quality monitor for each city--Houston violated federal ozone (smog) standards 11 times in 1995 (Bush's first year in office), 15 times in 1996, 12 times in 1997, 10 times in 1998, 18 times in 1999 and 14 times so far this year. L.A. violated federal smog standards 65 times in 1995, 62 times in 1996, 30 times in 1997, 57 times in 1998, 35 times in 1999 and 17 times so far this year. EPA then averages the number of violations over a three-year period to determine whether an area is in or out of compliance. By that official yardstick, over the most recent three-year window, L.A. averaged 36 violations--33 more than the law allows--while Houston averaged 14. Data to the contrary naming Houston as No. 1 in smog is simply cooked and its methodologies deemed inappropriate and misleading by the EPA.

I voted with my usual split ticket(I do not vote party line ever) and in the process of voting for my state representitives,I noticed the numbers on the punch card were off by onw notch. If you thought you were voting for one candidate an punched the card slot aligned with that candidadte it would register for the candidate above! WTF!!! I called over a voting judge to verify and sure enough the machine was pulled! Ironically it was voting for a sleazebag when I noticed it and questioned it. If you have not yet voted, pay attention were you place that vote when you are in there. I will talk to my county commisioners about this tommorow. I don't call it fraud ,but it is certainly suspicious.

By the way, I voted for 2 Dems,3 libertarians, and 4 republicans and I voted not to retain a low life judge. The only vote I am watching is the judge. Local politics are fun!
