I uninstalled Photoshop CS2 today

... and went back to 7. What a heap of crap. It's impossible to draw anything because it refreshes so slowly. Whenever I try to get updates, it says it can't update the updater. I give up. Anyone else?

CS2 runs pretty well on my computer at work, which isn't fast at all. I think it's a P4 2.0 with 512MB RDRAM.

I got a freind who is an incredible artist, just very good at all that stuff and he really disliked CS2 and went back to 7 also...what a waste he told me.

Just get a better computer. Sheesh, the program is too expensive to toss. Get some more ram an a better processor.

It runs excellent here with a socket 754 Athlon 2800 with 1.5 gigs of ram and a newer nvidia 6100 motherboard.

Weird, it works great on my tablet. My specs are pretty damn sucky except for memory (1.5GHz P-M, 2GB memory, scratch disk is usb2).

Yep. If you paid for it, you wouldn't be willing to just give up on it like that. You'd also be able to ask Adobe for support.
