I typed anandtech.com wrong and got sent to some adult site!

OK, if you get to one of these pages, and it opens a new window when you close it, then what do you do to make it really close?

ALT + F4 works fine.

Use a browser which allows you to disable that type of pop-ups 😉
 
well there are a few options.

You can use Webwasher or pop up killer.

I prefer Webwasher

Or you can use Opera Which has a setting to disable them

or you can just turn of active scripting for IE. but that disable ALL java
