eating less isn't the magic bullet either. you will lose weight for a while then your body metabolism will adjust and it will stop. So then what? eat even less and less until your metabolism comes to a crawl?![]()

Wrong.
You can reduce carb intake, and replace those calories with protein or fat, and lose weight.
Contrary to most of the bullshit these days, fat is actually not bad at all. It's actually really, really good. And fucking delicious too.
Of course, if you want to enjoy fatty foods, you really, really... and I stress this... cannot consume too much carbs. Doesn't matter the type of carbohydrate... if you eat a lot of fat, all those carbs are going to be used first, and when the body has had it's fill... boom, fat gets absorbed like crazy.
And there's a lot of good fats - look at the Nutrition labels, if you see something has 20g of fat, but then only 2g of Sat Fat is listed, and 0g of Trans Fat... you might wonder, what is the other 18g of fat? Well, that's all unsaturated fatty acids... the really good, really tasty fat. The type of fat your body really, really wants - and hell, some fatty acids will actually play a huge role in lowing LDL and raising HDL, helping keep cholesterol in-serum just right. Some will also help with total blood pressure.
Carbs really are the enemy - our body is geared to be able to handle them, but no in regular fashion - they are a great energy source, something to tide you over until you could get some tasty dead animal. Something to keep you alive until you could get something better, or to give you some extra energy to keep you one step ahead of something that thinks you look equally as tasty as any other primate.
Too high of carb intake can end of forcing too much fat into adipose tissue, and also cause insulin spikes and a decrease in average alertness and productivity... as once the insulin declines and the brain has had its fill of glucose (ignoring the muscular glucose uptake, which is great when called for), the CNS won't perform at peak.
All this "all you're doing is decreasing calorie intake" talk is really just inane.
You can easily consume more calories, but with less carbs, and still have better nutrition and a better physique. Depends on the quality of those calories, and in short, the typical foods that are high in both fat and protein have more quality calories than a high-carb meal.
I personally have been looking to lower my carb intake, and have been doing it slowly but surely... I make it a goal to keep on the lookout for tasty snacks and meals that have a lot of unsaturated fatty acids.
And no, this isn't a fad diet or anything of the sort... and it most certainly isn't something that "works for some people, but not everybody." Rather, it's simply pure nutritional science at work - it's the act of gearing your daily diet to match up exactly to the biological needs of the human body.
Wow, you're a fool if you believe some of that. Completely incorrect. It's not rocket science, less calories than you burn a day either from cutting food (to an extent) or exercising is how you lose weight. Carbs and proteins share the same number of calories per gram, fat is a little higher, regardless, your body needs a healthy amount of all 3 with the exception of saturated fat. It's called eating properly.
Who the hell teaches this crap? Stop copying and pasting bits of different fad diets. Unless you're in ketosis carbs are not 'the enemy', and that's an unhealthy option.

so eating healthy and working out makes you lose weight? NO WAY!
Funny how so few people understand the basic caloric math of the situation.
including you apparently.
How so?
If calories-consumed > calories-burned = weight gain
Calories-consumed < or = calories-burned = weight loss or weight maintained
This is the basic math.
No rice or pasta can blow me. I've lost 45 pounds in the past 9 months (sandwiched around a 12 lb bulk) and I have either rice or pasta (usually pasta) at least once a day usually.
So what you're saying is that EATING rice and pasta make you lose weight???]
HOLY SHITE!!!! WE'VE FOUND THE NEW DIET FAD!!!!
LIFT YOUR SHIRT FOR EVERYONE AS EVIDENCE!!!!
So OP, how can I convince you to use fewer commas and ellipses?

Reducing caloric intake is what makes you lose weight. Sure, eating better foods is more healthy, but you think somehow cutting certain carbs are magically forming muscles (abs) and magically making you thinner?

Said the guy who obviously knows nothing of the topic. You need to read the Atkins book like I did. It is no BS. it actually works. You can drop 2 pounds a week and in the end, things like potato chips taste like sh-t to you. Nothing better in this life than a bacon and egg dinner while loosing weight.
As for abs, if you loose weight there is less fat between the skin surface and the stomach muscles. That's why abs always appear. It's not magix as you suggest but phsyics.
How does a pale ale sound? Think that will work? :hmm:

force of habit. because they always get lost or deleted if I don't do this.
I await your UPDATE pic
Also,,, how much do... you weigh
Another part of the reason I did the low carb was for acne,, it's true that I didn't have many BEFORE, but, i have NONE now that I did low carb...
I honestly thought that an ACNE cure would be worth it to most of the guys NO scoring because of their poor complexion.
I notice that my asian buddies who eat tons of refined carbs also have the WORST acne problem, cystic... ugh....
And the Fob ones with bad acne spends 10000x dollars on facial care products, and NONE of it works,, because none of it will make you eat less rice / bread
