I was too proud to be messin' with THC-related stuff. I always preferred drinks. I also can't stand smoking.

My friend gave me an edible- a proper manufactured product from CO. I ingested about 40mg.

Holy hell. Music sounded amazing. And paranoia kicked in too. Then slept for 10 hours, woke up feeling very well rested.

8/10, would try again.

Man if you don't recognize the effect drugs have on ATOT posters (e.g. Mayne), then you're just as stupid. You're married with a kid. Time to grow up.
I thought ATOT was pretty pro MJ similar to rest of internet, and how alcohol is the real evil.

Why can't we have both… being evil?

Anyway, I, for one, support the move to edibles. I don't use, don't want to use, and the move to edibles reduces second hand smoke so it's a good thing.

Wow. Have the posters here actually tried marijuana? I thought this was a progressive forum. Less harmful than alcohol. Doesn't cause liver damage, doesn't give you GERD or erode away your stomach, a much healthier alternative.

Such a moronic statement and argument. It's called moderation. The majority of people do not have those health issues if they drink in moderation. It's a dual edge sword and people abuse it, sure. But people also abuse MJ and it wo2uld potentially have long term effects on your lungs and other things.

The most idiotic thing is the unintelligent people who advocate marijuana always have to resort to the alcohol argument and "but mommy, someone else is doing something worse!". How about advocating it based on other merits. Have an original thought in your small brain and learn how to debate on the facts of what you are arguing.

It makes people who smoke seem fucking stupid when they can't form an intelligent argument that doesn't resort to complaining about something else. Please let others advocate who can properly do it.

The key word you are looking for is moderation.

Occasional low quantity alcohol consumption doesn't have the long-term sequelae you mention. Neither does occasional low dose usage of MJ as far as I am aware.

Up the dose and frequency of either of those, and you will have plenty of long-term sequelae. Most notably, addiction and dependence leading to use disorders.

I hope you can appreciate the irony in calling people "fucking stupid" while simultaneously believing "advocation" to be the appropriate word.

Moderation and responsible use are the key words here. MJ edibles are probably the best way way for most people to consume it, if they want to try MJ. I would only do it for medical reasons.

Grass is a fine thing, like alcohol, when properly used. Surprising how many retain antediluvian thoughts about it.Unfortunately, and opposite to sex, the first time is by far the best.

not true, having a better idea of what to expect alleviates a lot of paranoia.

I got stopped this afternoon by someone collecting signatures for the legalization of medical marijuana in Missouri. I wonder if the beer companies will ever allow that here (without it being legal federally).

its full of computer nerds. computer nerds are practical. they tend to be Conservatives. at the very least, they dont encourage crazy liberalism.
Having said that, the practicality aspect should include tolerance of a drug like THC which really isnt very harmful.
