Damn, so nice.
I tried cigars, but the smoke is too harsh, and the buzz is too much. I never smoked cigarettes, and I hate the smoke. But the pipe - oh, man, just what I needed.

It's 80 degrees outside, I'm chilling in the backyard. The smoke aroma is unbelievable. The pipe shop owner is absolutely amazing - he helped me pick tobacco, showed me how to light it, how to draw, how to enjoy it, and now I'm having a hell of a time relaxing.

I don't smoke but I do like a cigar a couple of times a year. I imagine a pipe would be good as well.

You don't, but cigar smoke is still very strong, even if you use a mild cigar. The nicotine is absorbed into blood stream via your mouth, even if you don't inhale. If you did, you'd get a nicotine blast. Not good.
 
I love cigars, have about one a month or so because the buzz is fantastic and I love the smoke. I've been told to try a pipe but haven't fully converted yet.
 
Try some marijuana.. Not dirt.. but some great medical grade flavored marijuana. Smokes much better than tobacco, gives you a nice little lift, and isn't nearly as bad for you. (some could argue is actually healthy).
 
Eh, I'm not a big fan of pipes. You barely get any buzz with them and you have to keep re-lighting and re-filling them.

Just get a mild cigar if you don't want a raging buzz.
 
Cigar plus brandy/whiskey is total (legal) relaxation. I like the smell of pipes but haven't tried. If I did starting pipe smoking I would think I would have to get a sweater like Mr Rogers.
 
Did you also wear a smoker's jacket and slippers? A cool flat cap or perhaps a Sherlock Holmes style hat also makes smoking a pipe more enjoyable.
 
It must only be the otherwise non-smokers who don't inhale when they smoke cigars. Everyone I've ever known who smoked cigars, inhaled when they did...but then again, MOST of them also smoked cigarettes or pipes.

thats why i try not to smoke cigars. i cant help but inhale them. pipes are easier, but its more like smoking fruit than tobacco to me. capt black smells like cocoa puffs.
 
Pipes are definitely the best looking way of smoking, there's few things more disgusting than some retard standing there with a i love you hanging out there mouth.
