I returned the Vizio 42" plasma and got the 37" Westinghouse LCD 1080P from Sams instead.
Saved like $500 too.
Had bought the Vizio for $1499 vs. $1040 for the Westinghouse.

Old setsup

Why ??
Ah...running my PC 1920x1080 on a 37" monitor.
Desktop Sorry for the bad pic. The screen is crystal clear.
Surfing ATOT while watching TV

Best part ?? Playing video games 1920x1080 on a 37" screen.
Farcry
Serious Sam 2 is just gorgeous
Football season..grrrrrrr....

This was an old desk that I chopped down to make it level with the screen.
My setup for the big screen
If you notice to the left, thats a Dell 24" and I don't even use that anymore...just for watching TV.
And I haven't touched much my dual screen setup either since I've gotten the 37".

The desk roll out to the side for TV viewing

So far quality is no where near the plasma but I haven't played test out other sources yet.
Also The TV is just a monitor. No tuner of any sort.
I will either have to get my DVD feed from satellite or cable.
Or I can get a HDTV tuner for free local feed.

OK, I'll take constructive critism but when you make a comment like "I'll stick to my 20" lcd"...makes you look stupid.

Better or worse?

Depends entirely on what you use it for most of the time.

Desktop? Good trade.

Movies? Poor trade.

Gaming? Good and bad.

People who say definitively one way or the other without specifying usage are merely ignorant or fanbois.

Sell that 20" (24"?) display, add that to the $500 you saved on the display and buy a non-sh!tty desk :p

I agreed.
I've been looking for a nice chair that sits lower to the ground to fit the desk.
Still looking.

Which desk ?? the one I'm using for the 37" ??
If its the big desk to the left, I happenned to like it alot.

If its the one I'm using for the 37", its more complicated than that.
I was planning a lounging setup for the 37".
Something more laid back that I can lay back and surf the web, play video games, etc...
Still trying to find that chair.
And when I do find that chair, where would I put on the keyboard and mouse ???
The desk is the best scenario I can think of.
I even cut that desk a good 4 inches so its eye level to the monitor.

Got any pic of a better setup ??
Would love the recommnendation.

Why didn't you trade your 42" plasma for a 42" LCD instead?

The desk sucks. You have much better taste in displays than in furniture or decoration. Your room is full of very pretty screens sitting atop crappy, pressed wood trailer park furniture. Spend some money on stuff made out of real wood.

I'm gonna have to agree with this.
