Does anyone else use the BB 7520 through nextel?

I have some questions.

Update:

So Friday afternoon my less than 24 hours old BB stops connecting. i cannot make calls, send emails/IMs etc. Ok no problem. i leaving work early anyways for the holiday weekend so I will just stop in at the Nextel store and they will show me why I am dumb and fix the problem.

WRONG!

2 hours later my *malfunctioning* blackberry is being shipped back and I have a used I90 for the weekend. Now why the flip do I have an I90 when I have a perfectly good I95cl that was working the day before???

GOOD QUESTION!!

Some fool on the nextel help line mistakenly put my phone into a database of STOLEN phones so my old number could not be reattatched to it! Then instead of fixing the mistake the operator transfered the call to someone else.

WHAT THE FCUK!!>?!>!!>!>

well at least tommorow a replacement BB should be at the store. I still want to use my I95 for a different line so they better get a friggin clue and fix their effin mistake.

UPDATE 3

After waiting and waiting I finally picked up the replacement blackberry yesterday. I have set everything back up and it all seems to be working! EVEN THE SMS!!! WOOT!

So now I can send email, sms, and AIM .........I am in texting heaven.

I am happy.

that is all.

You son of a bitch! How could you do this to me?

I was reading about the 7520. Sounds like a fun, if not confusing, gadget.

its a very good tool so far. Easy to use. I am almost fully past the learning curve in less than 24 hours. Just have a few questions though for someone thats been using one for a while

I should read up on them.... not that I'll be getting one any time in the near future, but most of the people around me that have cell phones are using Nextel, and come to me for advice. :(

Nope. It is through cingular, but the models are overall the same. Did you have questions more about the service or about the hardware/software on it?

Why don't you post the questions and let us go at it. :)

I like my 7520. Little more girth to it than my old 7510, but the screen and back light are sooooo much better.

Hmm. I like Blackberries. My sister works for Nextel. Maybe she should give me one for free...with unlimited service? That would be cool.

My boss has one and aside from a few network related glitches it has been working fine for about 4 months.

It is horribly awkward as a phone though.

To get SMS text, make sure you have your messege centre number put in correctly. It's different for each service provider.

The BB will easily do SMS text.

wtf is a message center number?

Another member told me nextel BB's can only Recieve SMS. That is good enough for me though.

A MCN is the number the BB uses to send SMS. Sucks that your provider only supports 1 way SMS.

In the UK we've had 2 way SMS in GSM phones for about 10 years. The BB owns all tho by using GPRS for something other than WAP(which, in the main, sucks hairy Donkey parts).

I just got a 7730 on T-Mobile here at work. It's pretty nice. I just wish the T-Mobile coverage wasn't so lousy.
