I took a '01 Mustang GT today w/ my lil ole Olds Intrigue STOCK.

was at a light and this mustang GT was next to me. when the light turned green I hit it. i had a good 1/4 second or so on him. i had him till about 50 but then he pulled ahead.

No way i could really take him but i liked getting the jump on him.

off course not. his car is 1000 lbs lighter than mine. the only way i could take him is on snow.

but i got him off the line and he didn't like that i was ahead of him at all.

Mustangs isnt 1000 pounds lighter...more like 320...and thats the base model with a manual..GT is heavier...auto is heavier

ok, wow, i always thought my car was really heavy because it drives like a really heavy car. the 'stang should have more HP and torque than mine tho. he's got a 4.6 v8?? i got a 3.8 v6.

regular GT's are not that quick, i mean.. should be able to beat your car, but not kill it. now a Cobra you might have to look out for.

WTF am i getting soo much heat for?? some of the questions i'm getting i can understand, some of it is just bs. sheesh. if you had gotten the jump on a mustang w/ something like what i drive you'd get jazzed too. it's not like i claimed to be the best driver of all time or even anything remotely close to that.

well well well... as i said, would not kill... beat yes... i have no idea what Intrigues run, but I hear they are decently quick.
how can a GT run 13.6? what does a Cobra run? it's not in the 12's... i know the older 5.0's run around 15 seconds..
