I had it tacked up next to the computer and about a week before it expired, I threw it away because I knew I wouldn't be going to a post office by then. Is that bad?
 
I lost $20 on a rebate check I was to lazy to cash and $50 on a rebate I forgot to mail. I hate rebates.

like you would get it anyway. i cant tell you how many rebates i have sent in and never received my money. I hate rebates and are not a incentive for me to buy a product.

i keep copies of everything and breath down their necks (email/phone) if they don't get me a check in the alloted time. i've never NOT got a rebate back, but i've had to fight for some.

Well, the way I justified it, I was still happy with the price that I paid. Plus, I'd probably just buy a pack of cigs...lol.

rebates are a pita. i have to be in a real good mood to deal with them.

I never buy anything where i'd need the rebate to think i got a good deal. I know that i'll never send in the rebate. Receiving the amount of money i spend on lunch, and waiting 6 weeks to get it can't motivate me to do much.

I did the same thing with a $35.00 Thermaltake refund. It was supposed to be mailed by the end of the month. I knew I was not gonna do it, so I chucked it.
 
I've probably missed out on $150 of rebates over the last year or so. I'm the kind of dumbass they target - I'm the money maker for these companies.
