I thought the R word was considered bad

I was watching Blue Collar Comedy and Jeff Foxworthy and the other guys kept saying r**neck. I don't understand this, because I once called a white guy a r**neck because he cut in front of me in line at the grocery, and he became offended. How is it that white people can be racist and use the r word for their own people, but a brown guy like me can't?

Only on ATOT. Why do people make a copy thread but change 1 word, and think it's somehow funny?

Nobody is allowed to use such a racist remark like r**neck.

If you use that word you are an ignant racist.

NO DOUBLE STANDARDS. NO DOUBLE STANDARDS.

Its called a parody thread.

and when its done right, it is funny. But it has become a lost art-form on ATOT.

it is ok on TV, but not in "real life"

I propose we ban this hurtful word permanently. If I can't call a guy a r**neck, why should they be able to tell r**neck jokes on TV??

Oh for Christ's sake. This isn't a parody meant to be funny. I'm trying to point out that it's idiotic for white people to complain that you can't use "the N word" but black people can, because it's exactly the same as "the R word".

Red Neck? No, not funny, sorry.

Why am I smilling?

There's nothing funny about racial slurs. This is serious business.

I misstook this for a parody thread?

I don't think anybody would like to be called a redneck, especialy a strangers.

He was wearing a Dale Earndhart shirt and his neck was ruddy.

You know damn well that you could call me a redneck with far less consequence than if I called you the other term.
