It wouldn't surprise me if that whole recall thing was BS. It was likely done to stop the retailers from selling before the NDA expiration.

The launch party thing is from 11:30 - !2:30 PST, so I assume that the NDA is probably going to lift at 3:30PM EST.

retailers have them.. I've talked to a few local ones this this morning. They just can't seem to post them online yet.

Bah, all sold out on NCIX.com , where I do all my shopping. I hope this is not another 7800GTX 512 in the making :disgust:

On another note I'm not sure what it says about me, or the market, but when I looked at at the $759 Cdn. price tag I thought "pretty good deal"...wtf! It's almost $800!!

Using estimation conversion (as in 1 USD = 1.3 CDN), that's almost $600 USD, which is the MSRP if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: Whoops, wanted to add a bit more.

I can understand nVidia's desire to synchronize the release. From what I can see, this is one of their biggest releases in awhile. I mean, looking at benchmarks and IQ reports, this card has power and (IQ) prowess, which people've often berated nVidia as going with one or the other.

I got NewEgg open and ready to buy one when they come out ;).

It was an overall comment on spending that much for a graphics card. I was not saying that particular price was good or bad.

Oh, okay. Well, I'm glad you mentioned the price then, because that gives an idea of what US online retailers may charge.

Make sure they actually have them in stock. Lot of places are gonna be sold out right away I'm betting.

1 USD = 1.13 CDN
That makes the conversion $671.87.
