OMG!!! What a load of HORSESH!T!!! That site is absolute crap. I don't even know where to begin.
1.They are showing a very small percentage of cows that are mistreated.
2.Milk is fantastic for your health.
3.Soy milk and tofu are horrible, unless you like being an estrogenic bitch with a greatly increased risk for alheizemers (sp?)

This is a slam site by some uninformed activist piece of carp.

actually as i would not go as far as that sight does...milk is not proven to be as good for you as people say it is. When you are brought up they make you think that you need milk to keep your bones healty and you will die without it. Well sorry to say but there is a very small portion of the human population that drinks milk. And you dont see people from countries that dont drink milk having problems with their bones.

It can have problems, because they put so much crap in the milk to keep it fresh and that is not good for the body.

not to say you should stop drinking milk, but just dont believe everything that the dairy industry tells you.

Well I have a lot of very old, healthy family members who drink at least 2 glasses of milk a day and I don't think they'd agree with that site at all. I know I don't. My grandpa is 94 years old and has been drinking whole milk his whole life and I've never known him to be sick. He still walks on his own which I think is amazing and is testament to his health. So if milk is so bad then I would think after 94 years of whole milk he'd show some signs of depreciated health.

Dairy Products rule!!

I just don't like milk anymore. I probably haven't had it in over a year. I also haven't been sick in a year or so...not even a simple cold or upset stomach. I'm not saying there is a connection, just weird

That site is about as fanatical about NOT drinking milk as the Dairy Council is about drinking milk.

I'm sure there's a happy medium in there somewhere.

Might I also add that not a single one of the "worlds oldest people" listed in the Guinness book of World Records was a vegitarian... not one. I might also add that not one reputable study has shown vegitarians on averagelive any longer than omnivores with well ballanced diets.

PETA is a bunch of lying buffoons.

These are the same people who told college
students to drink more beer because its
healthier and then they sent some
nasty letters to MADD when they got
involved.

i guess we SHOULD stop drinking milk and eating meat =P

anyway, peta tends to exaggerated their point.

yes some cows are mistreated. but dairy farmers know that cows are their bread and butter (pun intended), and would not mistreat them. and those that do, are subject to fines.

"Because an increase in protein intake from animal products such as meats, dairy products, and eggs is often accompanied by increases in intakes of saturated fat and cholesterol and possible adverse effects on renal disease and osteoporosis, dietary advice to improve public health on the basis of these findings should be made with caution."
http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/70/2/221

Obviously the word "caution" doesn't register with the people who made milksucks.com
