We call that short man syndrome. 😉

Being tall isn't all that. Life throws you a lot of low ceilings, small cars, and long flights in coach. Having a big height disparity between you and the ladies can be, let's go with interesting,for certain activities. I'm 14 inches taller than my wife *sigh*

Actually that would be short guys with the "little man" complex. 😀 Tall guys are usually pretty chill.

Being tall has its pros and cons. I'm 6' 4" and feel like I have a built in step ladder which is kind of nice (can reach stuff up high that many people can't). Plus I can see over the top of crowds. It is a pain (literally) when flying coach though - my knees are always twisted off to the side to fit in a cattle-car plane seat. Makes buying a car a bit of a challenge too. I can't count the cars I've liked that turn out not having enough legroom. Plus buying trousers/jeans can be a problem. Most stores don't carry 36" length.

Yeah, I've had long bus rides with my band, and the longest one is still coming up. 13-14 hours in a coach bus stuffed with highschoolers. I'm not sure my ankles and knees will survive the trip. 😛 I have issues shopping for pants too, though it's not so much having long legs as just being in between sizes. In most brands I have issues with 33/33 33/34 and 34/34.

Funny, we had some friends over last night for a little Christmas party and at 5'11" I was taller than everyone who was there (three dudes and five women). Out of all my close friends though I am the shortest (and none of them are dicks or act like dicks). Still, I find that I'm as tall or taller than most men and I'm taller than nearly all women.
 
I'd say even if you're a manlet you can at least make up for it as long as you aren't shorter than 5'6"-5'7", after that you're just short. 😛 You've gotta be buff in the shoulders though, make yourself look intimidating.

Being short and buff makes you look like you're overcompensating.

I'm 6 3" and pretty mellow. I always wondered why the shorter guys always seem to have something to prove to me.

Because people will think that the buff person knows he's short and is trying to make up for it by having muscles (i.e. try to appear more masculine in other ways since he's lacking the most important masculine trait: height).

Note that the key here is, "people will think." That may not be true, but people generalize and stereotype and are pretty cynical.

And again, I'm a smidge below 5'4" so I've heard all the crap thrown at short people and have been made fun of non-stop for it. It makes me laugh now and I don't care. I'm short, no shit?
 
5' 10" is tall after you shrink a couple inches, compared to your gray haired peers. So just wait a couple decades. Oh wait. You'll be 5'6" then. Oh well.

CEOs tend to be tall. People who get promoted to upper management tend to be tall.

Human psychology lends advantages to people with certain physical traits. How is this different than physical attractiveness? Do you also find it funny that your eyes turn towards physically attractive women and you look away from ugly hags?

Maybe its because those physical traits are speak of multi-generational good nutrition and health which is common among the well to do.

Now, driving a lifted truck as a short guy? Nope, people gonna point and laugh wherever you go.
 
Giants walk among us. I was at a Cabela's in St. Louis and the guy in line behind me was so tall I was looking at his chest. Felt like a kid again, and I'm 6'2".
