I thinks I may have bought something worth a lot more then I paid for it.

I found this a few months ago at good will in its box, looked to me not even opened for the box is almost in new shape, and the unit itself is spotless. But it caught my eye, and though at the time I didnt own a guitar I bought it anyway, and didnt notice till after I got home the sticker and the letter on it. I got my oldest a guitar for Christmas and I just been playing with this for the last few hours. The company is still around, got updated drivers and firmware for the unit, and though Im not a professional by any means, the ability to change the guitar into several different ones, and amps, is just astounding. How it ever made it to a goodwill I wont ever understand. I paid $2 for it and it to me is well worth it and much more, so much so I am thinking of buying another guitar for myself and try to play it again.

Maybe I should email the Mark guy and tell him where his unit is?? May put a smile on his face to know this unit, when they first started out as a company, and before these ever made it to market, the very first one is still out there rocking away 🙂

Not sure which model stompbox you got, but for $2, you made out like a bandit.

Line6 is actually a pretty big company. They make guitar amps, effect boxes, wireless transmitters and more. Their lines range from "cheap junk" to "pretty decent." They aren't another Mesa Boogie or Soldano. All their stuff is Made in China (like 99% of all electronics we have in the states) but a lot of it is actually decent.

Sounds like you got a Beta version or similar...it might be worth something someday. Some crackhead either ripped off the UPS truck or stole it from a loading dock somewhere. Does it have a model number on the bottom or something?

Try cross referencing it on www.musiciansfriend.com or www.samedaymusic.com.

Nice find. 🙂

All it says is made in Malaysia, line 6, serial number 0000 with 5764 under that.

They have these on ebay, not many, and one is going for $100, so I know I made out bigtime 🙂
I got into the company directory and the Mark guy is no longer there.

OH and it was originally $3.99 but they were having a red tag sale so it was half off 😱

I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!

got your earring and your makeup on?

GuitarPort has been out for a while, 3-4 years at least if not longer. Line 6 was a round for quite a while before the GuitarPort, though. Started out priced pretty high, then was dropped to ~$100 about two years ago. I picked one up on ebay a long time back, but haven't used it much lately. A definite steal for $2.
