I definitely have to give them props for making the thing look very good, as opposed to, well, every other PSU on the market...lol

Specs isnt really what the PCP&C is the winner for..... PCP&C is considered he best because thier rock solid at MAINTING thier specs.

Hell, i bet thier are Aspires out there with the same specs as a PCP&C, but it doesnt mean it can provide them

since it's modular, it does not beat the pcp&c in reliability. as for efficiency, do you know what it is? if less then 85%, then it's a loser.

whats modular....?

meaning the cables arent connected to the PSU permantely, you can choose which cables you want to connect and then leave the rest off

The pins on these modular plugs are very small and are not happy passing 20A@12V.
They do look good and cable runs are a snap to do.

That's why PC P&C don't offer modular. They even have an article about the problems
caused by these trendy PSUs at thier site.

My next up-grade is a month away and a brand new HP2 6460P Zippy sits by my bench
quiviring in happy anticipation, in all it's nickel plated glory.

I've never heard of Sintek. Why does it need power knobs? There was another supply with adjustable voltage, and it was a useless, bad idea.

+12V 12.7V Min. 17.5V Max
+5V 5.7V Min. 7.2V Max
+3.3V 3.9V Min. 4.3V Max

???

By the pic, it's passive power correction. What is the efficiency? At what loads? Operating temps? Noise levels? How long can it maintain Max and Peak loads?

$189??

Voltage adjustment knobs

Bad, bad, bad!

This is what will happen:

1) People will look at the incredibly unreliable readings from MBM/CPU-Z/Speedfan etc.
2) People will say, "Hey, I'm under/over-volting."
3) People will adjust the voltage pots.
4) What was a decent voltage will be turned into an out-of-spec one.
5) ...
6) Many crashes and forum posts here asking why their rig is unstable/won't overclock.

Thanks, I'll stick with my Enermax.

Not to mention that it's a knob adjust, meaning everytime you twist that knob it's hard to tell exactly how much you are lowering things. I'm no EE or expert in power supplies, but I'd think you wouldn't want to risk adjusting it while the computer is on.

Good for giving the 3.3 rail some more jiuce so you can avoid the 5 rail cold bug with the DFI.
