Target in Des Moines, IA has this phone on clearance for $74.98 (down from $149.99).

I just found that Motorola has a $30.00 MIR for this unit.

So, $74.98 - $30.00 = $44.98

Click here for product info and MIR form.

That is a nice price. I use the MD671 (681 minus answering machine) since I have voicemail through Vonage, and I have no complaints. Great reception in and around a 3-story house, supports multiple handsets wirelessly, and excellent battery life after 3 months of use. The base unit functions as a standalone speakerphone in case the handset isn't handy. Caller-ID shows the caller's number AND name, which is nifty. I recall reading somewhere that the handset only uses 5.8 Ghz in one direction, and 2.4 Ghz in the other - can anyone confirm this? In any case, it doesn't cause any problems with my 802.11g wireless network.

After using this phone for a few days, I am really impressed by its quality and sound.

If anybody needs a cordless phone, check your local Target for it.

I saw the phone at my local Target but they had it on sale for $100. Maybe next week they will lower it to $30.

I found the only one left in the clearance area near the phones (the end of the isles). I also found a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo for $23, a Microsoft Multimedia keyboard (black) for just $7.50. They also had a bunch of Virgin (like the cell phone company) electronic 2.4GHz phones with digital answering machine for $19.50 and more. A bunch of neat stuff there, so please check it out...

I went to look for the phone last night. It's still $150 at the Camarillo, CA Target. There are two other Targets in the area, but I didn't want to drive around. Maybe I'll look this weekend.
