I think the only option left is for the Lions to be sold

Disband the team... who's going to buy the Lions for more than 50 bucks?

You do realize that Calvin Johnson is probably one of the most physically gifted WR currently playing? Kevin Smith would make an excellent platoon back in about 15 teams in the league.

You're so right. $50 is too cheap. How about $100?

So what? One guy can't carry a whole team... look what happened with Barry Sanders.

Their offense wasn't that bad. Nearly half their games they lead going into halftime. And that was with a third string QB most of the season. They aren't *that* horrible. Hell probably better offensive wise than 1/3+ of the league. Their defense is just downright attrocious in stopping the run and that keeps them on the field forever and they lose the time of possession battle and then are forced to take risky plays to try and catch up.

If they tighten up their defense side of the ball they'll be at least an "average" club. I don't really know what happened between this year and last year where they won 7 games.

I hope they take away their Thanksgiving Day game at the least. They don't deserve it.

Good call. Make it a Christmas day game. Whoever plays them gets a free win for Christmas!

I blame the players. Coaches and managers can only do so much, then it's up to the players to play the game and make things happen, and they're not doing that. I bet there's some high school teams in Michigan that could give the Lions a run for their money.
