OK, I'm not gonna get in a pissing match over here, my point is - a stock, or nearly stock, Spec V is not fast. My car is faster and I don't even consider it to be fast...just reasonably quick. *Fast* is when you start dipping into the 12's in the 1/4 IMO.

Everyone can be as proud as they want of their car, they can baby, i dont really car. What i do care about is a car that has a 5" exhaust that is louder than a harley. I can understand why a harley is loud, if you hear it, you know its there(safety). However, a Civic with a huge loud exhaust is annoying and i give my regards to people like that with the middle finger salute.

No matter how many times you tel us your Sentra is fast, it really isnt. A stock Escort or Neon could keep up with it. Quit trying to tell people it's fast. Be as proud as you want to be about it, but don't say it is one thing when it is not.

I'm waiting for your obligatory "Not everyone wants to just drive fast, some want to handle the twisties too."

If someone has the money to setup a watercooled system, I don't see any problem with it. It's their money and if they enjoy it good for them. It may not be practical, but most overclocking isn't. There are certainly notable exceptions (northwoods come to mind) but generally its about bragging rights and knowing your rig is really really fast.

I never said it was important.

Edit: I don't consider myself a "kiddie", therefore I wouldn't really know what is important to them. However, even if knowing their rig was really fast was important to him/her, I wouldn't care. To each his own.
 
This looks like most of the ricers in my area. Of course, just like you guys say, they're only out for cosmetic improvements. Yeah.
 
with all due respect this is a PC enthusiast forum and frankly none of us really need the amount of speed that we possess. But hey, were not practical people when it comes to computers, 4 ghz P4 ,4GB ram ,GF5 etc etc GIVE IT TO ME!!!
 
Some ricers are fast. Some ricers are slow. Some ricers are smart enough to keep their mouths shut about their "super v-tech power" while others are stupid.

The same can be said about just about any car owner. Some modded civics run in the low 12s. Hell, some dude in Cali gutted a Hundai Tiburan (sp?), added a second engine in the back, and brought them together with a giant turbocharger underneath. Don't generalize everyone with phrases like "Snobby corvette owners," "stupid slow-assed ricers," or anything of the sort.
 
Oh yes, and my stock 1997 Corolla can do the 1/4 in 8.412323123 after I put my erector-set spoiler on, and the stickers added 5 HP apiece. That's why I put 400 of them on there. My Corolla 0wnz j00!!! 😀
