Close. But i3/i5/i7 is still confusing. On the other hand, since core counts are always even with Intel, we could come close: i, followed by "Chip Generation", followed by core count, plus one if hyper-threading is enabled. So I would still have an i63. But i5's would become iX4's. Current i7's would be iX5's. And Intel would have to produce a mainstream 6-core chip to make an iX7.

Edit: Does Base clock speed make sense for C? I'd go with maximum turbo on all cores simultaneously, then let the wattage show you how much it throttles.
