Heh, boohoo cry me a river!

Yep, low bidder, but not as low as the person I was able to outbid, obviously :)

No idea. It's not very probably that two people would be bidding on the same thing, with the same amount of cash, with the same timeframe set.

More than likely it would go to whoever had the higher amount of $$$ punched in.

The page isn't all that great, but I'm really happy about the Tara Reid picture that popped up on the right. :D

What you may not realize is that there are people who snipe items they don't need just to win - I read about it somewhere. Compulsive sniping on e-bay for thrills is probably the most pathetic mentall illness one could have.

Yep, I do that all the time. The icing on the cake is when the toadie loser sends me a nasty eMail telling me how mean I am. Hey! Was that you that sent me that blathering, whiney crybaby missive the other night after I nailed a doofus by 50C on a Kennedy Half?

Always bid higher than your current bid. If your bid is at $200 for an new item that sells for $300 then set your max bid to like $275. That way if someone snipes you at $200 they'll end up losing unless they go over $275 at which point you might as well buy it new from a store.

Obviously, the person with the highest proxy bid, whether it was executed by a human, a chimpanzee or an electronic agent -- if the weenie who wrote this page really wanted something, he or she should have bid the maximum proce they were willing to pay. Who cares *when* or how they placed it. Really they are just whining about the feeling that they thought they were going to get something at a low price and then did not. Probably auctions are not a good place for people like that.

What a pathetic baby. I snipe when I can because I want to pay as little as possible. My question is if you are not going to watch the last 2 minutes of an auction why are you jacking up the price on me?

I think he's referring to that Tesla shrunken coin someone was posting about the other day. I don't know if that's what you bought or not, but in anycase, yes, they are real to anyone who cares.

heh i bought a Baby stroller on ebay a Eddie bauer car seat combo thing.

it was brand new still in box at $80 and 5 min left. I asked my wife is she wanted it and bid $130 max on it with a min left. needless to say i won at $105 for it =)

i got a nasty email from some lady cussing me out. I just replyed that i really i just do this for fun and i really dont need the stroller i just wanted to piss her off.

she emails me back asking wtf am i going to do with it then (missing my sarcasm heh) i just emailed her back saying i guess i can put a watermelon with a smiley face drawn on it and push it. i didnt get a message back.

Ah, thus the confusion. I posted the Tesla coin thread, but didn't bid on it. I posted another thread before that about a snipe I did on a proof Kennedy half.
