tell him you will be informing the MPAA about his activities.

thats not cool

Getting ripped off isn't cool either.

And there is a big difference between the average home pirate downloading a movie and a guy selling pirated media, represented as being legit, for a profit.

exactly, i'm ok with personal use, but when you try to make a profit doing stuff like that, that's giving them more reason to take away our right to make backup copies for personal use.

turn him into mpaa.

i got my paypal refund, but the seller told me that he would need my email address to give me a reinbursement for the shipping. i emailed him, but i haven't heard anything from him since. i dont expect that he will actually send me the reimbursement. oh well. off the report him to the proper authorities. i'm going to email warner brothers and the mpaa. hopefully they'll nail this jackass.

No one important will probably even read your email :p

But good luck.

update 3/04/08:
got an email from warnerbros... it reads like this:

Dear Spank:

If you could please respond with any information on the seller, I can then forward it on to our piracy department. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Kind regards,

I called out an online anime store that sent me pirated DVDs. I had a bit of an easier time with refunds since I just disputed it with Visa. But it's been almost 2 years and the site is still operational... maybe they're in the process of a legal battle... if so, it sure is taking a long time!
