I usually leave my pc on 24/7, but recently I've been turning it on/off daily. After a few days of doing this, I recently started to get artifacts immediately after boot. I run 2x 30" monitors at 5120x1600 and this card has been great for doing that for the last year or so. The card works fine under lower resolutions, but when i crank it back up to 5120x1600, small red lines appear in a crisscross fashion. When that happens, I have no choice but to reboot. I've just tried updating to the latest nvidia drivers but to no avail. As of right now, I'm hoping that I can sleep on it and it'll be better in the morning >_<. I play CSS+VirtualBox at the same time, hahaha.... I hope that's not the cause >_<. The card itself has never been overclocked and is in a rather spacious case with a lot of airflow. It's an eVGA 8800 Ultra, so obviously the case has to be huge >_>.
Dang, I hope that it's not fried, I wanted to buy a new computer in a few months but now is too soon! Anyway, if it is, I would like to know if I should get a new video card now or wait for the next generation to be released.
Thanks in advance.
