It is b/c i did the light wiring and power button button and reset wiring myslef i guess my psu was shortin out on thoses... But anyway i orderd a ALLIED PSU 300watt better than this compusa also. Heres my new case.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATEDOK heres my problem that pisses me off sooo bad..

I built me a new pc and @ first i put windows xp on it and when i play games it would just hard crash the game still on screen no movement no sound.. like stoping time. So i thought it was my psu i had a 235watter in and so i went and brought a 300watt and than i crash again..So i switch to windows 2000 which was the most stable. but now i just expen. this same old crash hard crash keep happening himm.

i dont believe i had this crashing problem till i got this video card but i doubt its the problem
My specs are
DUron 1300 o'c to 1404mhz-- it crashed @ 1300 before anyway
256 PNY ddr memory- i upgraded from sdram
SHuttle AK32L mobo from tigerdirect
Radeon 7200 64mb sdram agp-
20gb HDD WESTERN DIDGITAL
Fail safe bios so i know its @ agpx2 than.
also it dont matter what driver they all crash HARD!
if u need anything else about my ssytem post here and i tell you

this has been going on forever format after format

system temp usaually At about 50 for cpu and bout 34 for system

you could try the mobo out of the case to make sure its not a grounding issue(would not believe so tho..) could try with a different vid card and/or different harddrive..testing is how to isolate the problem ..and good luck

:(ditch the vid card if the tnt had worked w/out issues its either the Radeon (or its compatability w/ the mobo..) or its drivers :(

I'd be thinking mobo, but before spending any money, go to Shuttle's website and check for an updated BIOS.

Have you tried the Radeon 7500 in another PC like a friends? Just to see if it works or is a faulty card.

If the TNT2 worked fine with the same board I doubt it`s the board,my guess is driver or video card issue, btw that`s a VIA KT266 board right? So did you install the VIA AGP driver(needed for 2K and best to have latest version for XP).I always use the same BIOS tweaks for my video cards like disable video ram cacheable, disable all video shadowing, disable system bios cacheable, you should set the AGP aperture size to 64mb or 128mb(with your 256mb ram ,64mb setting would be the wise choice).

Btw I presume your cpu /case temps are fine and are the same with either TNT2/7500 card. Another option would be to borrow a Geforce card from a firend and see if stability is fine with that card in your system,it `ll help narrow the problem down.

Was your system overclocked when you installed Windows? If it was there's your problem.

Also make sure you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system.
