I think my Firefox got screwed up

Suddenly web pages have been loading slowly for the last couple days. I've run different spyware and virus programs with nothing coming up. So I think my firefox needs to be reinstalled from scratch. Bittorrent speeds are as fast as usual so I don't see what else it could be. I even installed the avant browser just to see how another would do and it was fast as it should be too. I don't know how to do it.
I've tried three times to install firefox and I keep retaining the same settings and bookmarks so I'm not doing it right. I uninstall it, delete the folder in Program Files, and then run RegSeeker to clean out the registry of it. What else should I be doing?

nevermind. i figured out i had to enable view hidden files and folders to find the application data/mozilla/firefox folder. even after I deleted this and reinstalled it I still retained the bookmarks and passwords saved so I guess this wasn't the profile folder. doesn't matter cuz now everything is working fine now. fast loading and embedded videos weren't playing for me before but now they are. thank god for google or else I would've had to use a different browser.
