I think Kerry will win

I think Kerry is going to win the election. I just don't think that the Repubs can do anything to stop all the momentum he has going for him right now, only 19 days to the election. It's like the repubs after their convention, Kerry is surging. Anyone agree or disagree?

I agree....I think? Well, maybe....well....😉

😀

As we all know, the man with the most votes wins.....most of the time! 🙂

Disagree.

Mark my words, Bush will win by a comfortable margin.

Don't flame me either, because I'll revive this thread just to spite the flamers on election night. 😉

And you promise to eat CROW if Kerry wins?

I think things look pretty good for Kerry, and I agree that he has momentum in his favor at the moment, but he will have to carry it through and a lot can happen even in only 19 days..

Not gonna happen, because Bush is going to win. 🙂

That is not what was asked? If you going to crow about bringing up this thread if you're flamed for your comments about the Bush re-election, then you're going to have to face the same? Yes?

?

And for the record, I say that there is an uprising of Democrats that aren't being counted in the polls this year and Kerry takes it all. Then instead of "Mission Acomplished", we can say "Mission restore just starting"!

Yes, I will bow to the flamage if I'm incorrect.

Infohawk, you're giving in this early! Keep it going bro... it's all you man, there's plenty of time! Have confidence!

We shall see . . .

Prior to President Bush, two US presidents, John Quincy Adams, and Benjamin Harrison, were the progeny of previous Presidents (obviously JQA's father was President John Adams; Harrison's grandfather was President William Henry Harrison).

JQ Adams did not win the popular vote or the electoral vote, and was instead appointed by the House of Representatives.

Like President Bush, Harrison lost the popular vote, but won the electoral vote and was placed in office. Prior to President Bush, he was the last President to lose the popular vote and win the election.

Both men served one term and were voted out of office by landslides, in favor of the candidate they had beaten in the previous election (in Adams' case, Andrew Jackson; in Harrison's, Grover Cleveland).

I imagine the election would be quite a bit closer than those in which Jackson and Cleveland won, though, regardless of the outcome.

i think bush will win, but i think itll be close. I mean, this election can go either way, and with the country divided, it will come down to who goes and votes. I don't care what the polls say, there could be a totally different same that go and vote on election day.

To clarify I was arguing Kerry might not continue to surge until the end because the Repugs will pull a stunt. As for the actual election I am not predicting, losing hope, or declaring victory. It's too close.

There might be another first coming someday... another Bush in the White House? Jeb? (can you elect a prez of the US who's named Jeb?)

er.. edits

If we can elect a guy who doesn't speak English, we can definitely elect someone named Jeb.

I am optimistic of a Kerry win as well... But I am also a realist, I realize that Bush more than likely will wrap up the electoral vote but Kerry's wins in the past leave me with a glimmer of hope, because he always is a very strong finisher and is nicknamed the "Comeback Kerry"...

🙂

Honestly it can go either ways, I'm not rude or disingenous to Bush supporters, I just think I am right and they are wrong; plain and simple.

Not that he needs it to sway his way, because he's already ahead. Any more support for Bush would just insult to injury to the Kerry supporters.

What he said. With the exception of the winner of course 😉

This election is so close, and Karl Rove is still out there.

This Bush is the least qualified, least deserving major candidate since Warren Harding. The Dub makes his Dad, Reagan and Nixon look like intellectual giants by comparision. That fact is so sad.

One thing for sure, whoever wins, there will be a passel of upset people on this board. P&N will be an interesting post election sideshow, either way.

If everyone's vote in Florida is counted. Kerry will win.
