Depends. Wet shoes I wouldnt mind, but if I saw that I was tracking mud, I would take my shoes off.

I agree, it is rude of them.

However, a reminder won't hurt. After being in the cold and coming into a warm house, people sometimes forget about their filthy shoes.

Me neither, but I'm asian also.

I always take off my shoes when I go to my non-asian friends' houses also, and they look at me weird.
