I think I'm slowly growing a love for Barbara Striesand's music...

She did a decent cover of Paul Williams' "Evergreen"

<troy mcclure> You may know Paul Williams from such songs as "We've Only Just Begun" (Carpenters), "Old Fasioned Love Song" (Three Dog Night) and of course his masterpiece, The Phantom of the Paradise </troy mcclure>

Well, I like all kinds of music, from rock to rap to country to jazz to soft to pop... anything. I'm just trying to revisit the 70s and 80s music since I wasn't born/too young to appreciate the music in that era. It would be pointless of me to admit I love rock since everybody on this board does too. I just want to see if any oldsters here can suggest some good old romantic Striesand songs 😎

some of her songs are ok even though she's fugly and weird 🙂 i'm so bad at song names i'll have to look em up😛

and yes, theres a lot of good music out there besides what is cool this month😛

You're Gay.

<semi-sarcasm>Sorry, but I think it's more gay if you feel insecure about listening to her music, cuz you may think that admitting or listening will turn you gay, therefore implying you're not secure about being straight.</semi-sarcasm>

I appreciate music regardless of the artist. You should too 😛

yea, some people aren't out of the "gotta listen to hip music only to show how cool i am" phase😛 i listen to everything cuz well, out of each decade 99% of music is CR@P. still with so many songs out there, there are gems to be found🙂 the ones that stand the test of time are great. most songs on the charts right now won't stand the test of time. but this has always been true. if u look at a top 10 chart from just 10 years ago, its like 99% ick.

this is your standard conditioned "i must declare my not gayness" response.

and just try the hits collections cds or live performance cds for an idea of which songs were actually hits🙂 works for most artists.

Watch it, the next thing you know Liza Minelli will start looking like a Fox and you will get an urge to go to Broadway shows!
